Situ\u00e9 en bordure de la R.N. 83 \u00e0\u00a0 12 km au sud de Colmar (68), ce village est sur la route des vins d'Alsace. La commune, forte d'environ 1100 habitants occupe une situation privil\u00e9gi\u00e9e au pied des collines sous-vosgiennes. Le ban communal occupe une superficie de 1457 ha. 260 ha sont consacr\u00e9s au vignoble. Une particularit\u00e9 de son vignoble est de poss\u00e9der un lieu d'appellation Grand Cru :\u00a0<a title=\"Le STEINERT\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ginglinger-jean.com\/blog\/?p=27\"><strong>Le STEINERT<\/strong><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ginglinger-jean.com\/steinert.htm#STEINERT\">.<\/a>\u00a0Les parcelles de vignes y sont orient\u00e9es en majorit\u00e9 sur une exposition SUD, SUD-EST. La position, tr\u00e8s au sud du vignoble alsacien, permet au vignoble de Pfaffenheim d'obtenir des conditions climatiques optimales. Abrit\u00e9 des influences oc\u00e9aniques par le massif vosgien qui lui procure une des pluviosit\u00e9s les plus faibles de France (400 \u00e0\u00a0 500 mm d'eau par an), le vignoble d'Alsace b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie d'un climat semi-continental ensoleill\u00e9, chaud et sec.
