year round, the completely manual harvest
( sorted out and selected grapes),

allow us to
harvest healthy and promising grapes. We bring then
all our knowledge to bring up our range

to obtain wines of Alsace, where material(subject),

PFAFFENHEIM
is a charming
and pictural wine center of the canton of Rouffach. Situated in
border of the R.N.83 in 12 km in the South
of Colmar ( 68 ), this village is on the road
of wines of Alsace. Municipality, strong
about 1100 inhabitants occupy a
situation privileged at feet of hills
sub-from Vosge. The municipal banns occupies a
surface of 1457 ha. 260 ha are dedicated
to the vineyard. A peculiarity of its
vineyard is to possess a place
of naming Vintage wine:
The
STEINERT.
The plots of land of vineyards are directed for
the greater part on a SOUTH, SOUTHEAST
exposur there.
The position, very in the South of the
Alsatian vineyard, allows the vineyard of Pfaffenheim
to
obtain optimal climatic conditions. Sheltered oceanic influences
by the massif from Vosge which gets him one
of the weakest rainfalls of France
(400 in 500 mm of water a year), the
vineyard of Alsace benefits from a
sunny, warm and dry semi-continental climate.
This climate is convenient to a
slow and prolonged maturation of grapes,
and favors the hatching of aromas of a
big sharpness.

wine paths to discover the most alive Alsace:
that of the grape harvests or
that of the full summer, secret Alsace.
Marked out numerous panels
of information, every wine path
attempts to reveal the work of the
wine grower, the art of the wine of Alsace and the
distinctions between every vine.
Pfaffenheim can
be proud of being the first
Alsatian village to have drawn a
wine path through his
vineyard. 2 km long, the route of
this path allows numerous points
of view on the village, the plain of Alsace,
the Black Forest and the
Swiss Alps.
